Surviving a terrorist ambush

Daily Crimes Against Humanity

The Sick and Twisted Values of St. Joseph, Michigan and the Rogue Berrien county court

1. Shannon McKinney, a Benton Harbor man in his 30’s, was a victim of former officer Andrew Collins. Today McKinney must go to court for a charge of which he is innocent. Collins planted drugs on him, he did time, and was one of the few to be released from prison by Prosecutor Art Cotter after Collins was convicted. Now, law enforcement is going after those who were released.

McKinney was recently stopped by county deputy Haskin who told McKinney he’ll “make life hell for him.” Haskin took McKinney’s truck, impounded it, took all of McKinney’s money, and issued a warrant for his arrest. He charged him with Delivery of Drugs. Now McKinney doesn’t know what to do. In a different vehicle, McKinney was stopped a second time by Haskin who put a gun to his head - payback for McKinney filing a complaint with the county. Haskin found it in the car, took it, and tore it up.

2. Rishar Goss, a BH man in his 30’s, has been in county jail for armed robbery. Yesterday was his preliminary examination in Berrien county court. Always on the lookout for new ways to ruin black peoples’ lives, Wes Smigielski brought a 15 year old boy to court to lie and say Rishar Goss was part of a group who committed a robbery. Unexpectedly, the boy’s father showed up before the examination and told his son not to lie. Bolstered with confidence, he answered prosecutor Mike Sepic’s repeated ‘question:’

“You said Goss was part of the robbery” by stating,

“No, Smigielski said that.”

The case was dismissed.

Tina Fey on winning the Mark Twain award for American Humor:

“And, you know, politics aside, the success of Sarah Palin and women like her is good for all women - except, of course —those who will end up, you know, like, paying for their own rape ‘kit ‘n’ stuff, But for everybody else, it’s a win-win. Unless you’re a gay woman who wants to marry your partner of 20 years - whatever. But for most women, the success of conservative women is good for all of us. Unless you believe in evolution. You know - actually, I take it back. The whole thing’s a disaster.”

How much for the blogger?

Please join us in trying to get Egyptian blogger Kareem Amer out of
the hands of the Egyptian secret police before they murder him.
Unfortunately, that plea is not rhetorical. They’ve been beating him
for 9 days past his release date from Al Borg prison in Alexandria.

All we’re asking is for you to join the How Much for the Blogger
Facebook page -
http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/How-Much-for-the-Blogger/175859252429923
- and doing 4 simple things on your own Facebook page.

1. Change your Facebook profile picture to the official How Much for
the Blogger? banner
2. Update your Facebook status at least once a day to include the
number of days past his release date he’s been held
3.Repost the latest How Much for the Blogger Facebook message on your account
4. Follow the official Facebook page for Egypt’s ruling party, the
National Democratic Party and copy your posts on Kareem to that page

All of these actions are designed to quickly let Egyptian authorities
know that the world - including Egyptians themselves and citizens from
around the Muslim world as well as North and South Americans,
Africans, Asians and Europeans are all watching. Campaigns like this
have previously stopped abuse in its tracks, including abuse of
Kareem, so it is NOT just a way to feel good about ourselves. This is
a practical strategy. And the more people who do it, from more places,
the more likely it is the abuse will stop and Kareem will be let out.

For more information on Kareem’s situation, please read the Free
Kareem FAQ: http://www.freekareem.org/kareem-faq/

If anyone in the media is interested in covering this campaign or
Kareem’s situation, let me know and I will put you in contact with the
right people.

Please forward this note to anyone you think might be interested.

Best,
Curt
